Thanks to all of our wonderful sponsors, volunteers, participants, and vendors, the 2010 Northwest Wienerfest was a success! As the numbers come in it looks like we've raised over $1000 for local and national rescue! We'll update everyone soon. We had well over 1500 people and 500 dogs through the weekend. Wiener Tales and wienerraces.com, in conjunction with The National Dachshund Race Circuit, are very excited to announce their indoor, 2 day Wienerfest and Race event! We've had some incredible feedback from fans of our other events since announcing the Inaugural NW Wienerfest, and would like to thank everyone for your positive responses.
Although Wiener Dog Races are held all over the US, there are few that pay such close attention to the safety of the dogs, while also making sure proceeds benefit a good cause. Toni Gossard, who is the coordinator for the National Dachshund Races, and Sheri Jones have been working closely to be sure every step is made to educate the public about safety measures when dealing with this special breed, as well as teaching about the benefits of adopting a new family member over “shopping” for a pet.
When? Saturday July 31st and Sunday August 1st - 11am to 7pm
Where? Grays Harbor County Fairground Pavillion and Expo Center
What? Races, Contests, Vendors, Rescues, Food, Free Activities, and more!!!
To Benefit? Local and National Dachshund Rescue and to Promote All Animal Rescue in The Pacific Northwest
Admission? $2.00 a day (Parking and children 5 and under are FREE)
Event Pre-Registration fee? $8.00 or $20 for any 3 events Day-of registration will be $10 per event
ALL DOGS WHO ENTER ANY EVENT RECEIVE A BAG OF GOODIES!

About the Coordinators
5 years ago, Sheri Jones, and her partner Mike Lawson set their goal of hosting the first Wienerfest in Western Washington. They have donated Wiener Tales items to many of the Wienerfests across North America and always dreamed to host their own. Today they are just months from that goal. In the last 3 years, together along with some wonderful partners like the Seattle Seahawks and Oktoberfest Northwest, they have helped to raise over $3000 for local and national Dachshund rescue. Let's help them set a record and raise even more than that in just two days! Read more about Mike and Sheri here. They are both thrilled to be working with Toni Gossard and the National Dachshund Races.
